Dansand A/S and BetaPack A/S — a partnership focused on packaging optimisation
Through a long-standing collaboration, Dansand A/S and BetaPack A/S have worked purposefully and proactively to optimise the packaging for Dansand’s trusted products.
The primary focus has been to ensure that the film performs flawlessly on packaging lines — while protecting and presenting the products effectively from production to end user. Every adjustment has been made based on Dansand’s needs and in close dialogue on functionality, quality, and sustainability.
Over the past year, the collaboration has further evolved with a shared focus on reducing climate impact and increasing recyclability. This has resulted in a film that is now 100% recyclable and consists of 30% recycled raw materials — sourced from discarded film and production scrap from BetaPack’s own manufacturing processes.
In practice, this means a reduction of 547,763 metres of virgin film — which translates into more than 41,000 kg of plastic saved. A concrete step toward a more circular packaging solution — and proof that high performance and recyclability can go hand in hand without compromising quality or function.
But this is only the beginning. BetaPack and Dansand are already working to further increase the use of recycled materials and ensure that as much packaging as possible is reused and recycled. The packaging of the future must be functional, cost-efficient, and environmentally responsible — and we believe this requires both long-term thinking and concrete action.
Our shared ambition is to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals — particularly Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). These goals are embedded in BetaPack’s strategy and daily operations.
We believe that sustainable progress is created through close partnerships and well-considered solutions. If you’re curious about what we can offer your business, feel free to contact Allan Myrup or Jonas Krog Toft for an informal conversation.
