A responsible choice: Valsemøllen partners with BetaPack for packaging solutions

In an interview with Mads Strandgaard Jensen, Packaging Buyer at Valsemøllen, he shares the requirements end users have for the packaging of Valsemøllen’s products:

“Our customers are demanding sustainable packaging. End users have started to look at the recyclability of the entire product – meaning both the contents and the packaging. The packaging must therefore signal sustainability and a green balance. At Valsemøllen, we are in the process of implementing the FSC® logo on all corrugated cardboard packaging, which is purchased from FSC-certified paper sources. This allows the end user to verify sustainability through the printed FSC logo on the packaging.”

Regarding Valsemøllen’s requirements for BetaPack as a supplier, Mads Strandgaard Jensen continues:

“Our suppliers must, of course, hold the right certifications, including FSC certification. They need to be reliable and deliver the right quality on time. We must avoid overpackaging, but at the same time, the packaging must protect the product properly. If the product is damaged, it results in pure waste – and that is harmful to the environment.”
