BetaPack receives support from SMV:Grøn for climate accounting and sustainability strategy

At BetaPack, sustainability is a clear priority — and now we’re taking another important step forward. We’ve received project funding from SMV:Grøn, an EU-financed programme under Erhvervshus Nordjylland designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises implement green initiatives and transition toward more circular business models. The support is aimed at companies working to reduce their climate footprint and integrate sustainability more deeply into operations.

For us, it’s a valuable opportunity to accelerate our green journey and bring even more structure to our climate and CSR efforts.

With support from SMV:Grøn, we can strengthen and expand our sustainability strategies and launch new initiatives. A key element of the project is the development of our first climate account — a data-driven tool to help us understand the direct and indirect climate impact of our operations.

This climate accounting will allow us to identify our most significant sources of emissions and set realistic reduction targets. It will also enable us to document our progress more clearly to customers, partners, and authorities. Over time, it will serve as a foundation for continuous improvement and greater transparency — including in packaging and materials, where we’re already working with concrete sustainability measures.

To ensure a high professional standard, we’ve partnered with the consultancy firm Sustainor, who bring strong expertise in ESG, climate accounting, and sustainable business development. We look forward to combining their knowledge with our own ambitions and hands-on experience.

This project is not just a win for BetaPack — it’s a step towards becoming a more responsible and transparent player in the industry. We want to lead where we can.
