AEROSANA VISCON – a vapour control product beyond the ordinary

Good and efficient insulation is key in any building project — and no insulation system is complete without an airtight vapour control layer. Installed incorrectly, it can lead to mould and structural damage. While many vapour control products on the market look and function much the same, some stand out.

A fast and effective airtightness solution
Earlier this year, BetaPack, in collaboration with German manufacturer pro clima, introduced the sprayable air sealing solution AEROSANA VISCONN. This liquid-applied vapour control layer is not only fast and efficient — it also offers significant ergonomic advantages that improve working conditions on-site. These benefits became particularly clear during a roofing project on Gl. Køge Landevej, where two connected residential blocks totalling 600 m² were undergoing roof renovation.

Shorter installation time and improved working conditions
In close cooperation between BetaPack, STARK, and contractor Tømrerfirmaet Lars Printz, the team decided to test the new application method by combining the sprayable AEROSANA VISCONN with the reinforced vapour control system alpha neti — and it proved a highly effective choice. After completing the first residential block, installation time was reduced by 50%. The new method was clearly easier to handle and significantly more ergonomic for the installer.

“This new method eliminated the traditional workflows, which were more time-consuming, complicated, and physically demanding. Our workers previously had to crawl or kneel for long periods to reach tight areas. Now, with AEROSANA VISCONN, the process is much easier and the end result far better,”
